Howard County

Howard County is often seen to be the center of the Baltimore-Washington Corridor with its easy access to commuter routes from Washington D.C. and Annapolis. When it comes to leisure-time activities, Howard County offers six regional parks, 24 community parks, seven golf courses, five lakes and over 200 miles of walking, hiking and biking trails. Designated as an “All-America County” by the National Civic League, Howard County is a great place to live, work and play. Diversity surrounds you, from Columbia’s lakeside restaurants and shopping to Historic Ellicott City’s Main Street, filled with antiques, boutiques and cozy restaurants.

Howard County’s Columbia/Ellicott City area were recently named in “America’s Best Places to Live” by MONEY magazine. Housing in Howard county spans a wide range, from small ranchers and condominiums to rural estates, with fields for crops and/or horses and livestock. With its balanced blend of pastoral farms, historic towns, suburban communities and urban lifestyle, it offers something for everyone.
